ChipNexus Unveils Agentic AI Platform to Transform Semiconductor Design and Verification

The semiconductor industry is entering a new phase of AI-driven engineering as ChipNexus formerly known as Primis AI has officially launched NEX, an advanced agentic AI platform designed to automate complex chip design workflows. Alongside its corporate rebranding, the company is positioning itself at the forefront of intelligent semiconductor development by delivering AI that actively participates in engineering processes rather than simply assisting with individual tasks.

NEX is designed to carry out end-to-end semiconductor design tasks across digital, analogue, and physical chip creation, in contrast to traditional AI coding helpers. The platform can generate and optimize RTL code, analyze circuit schematics, perform simulation setup, investigate verification failures, and coordinate synthesis and physical design tools. The platform is immediately available with integrated support for Google Gemini AI models, while enterprise customers have the flexibility to connect their preferred AI providers using their own credentials.
