Siemens Introduces Agentic AI Toolkit to Accelerate Integrated Circuit Design and Verification
Siemens has announced the launch of the Questa One Agentic Toolkit, a new addition to its Questa One smart verification software portfolio designed to accelerate integrated circuit (IC) design and verification workflows using advanced agentic AI capabilities.
The new toolkit addresses a growing challenge in the semiconductor industry: the widening verification productivity gap caused by rapidly increasing design complexity. With technologies such as 3D ICs, chiplet-based architectures, and software-defined systems becoming more common, engineers are facing increasing pressure to verify designs faster while maintaining reliability and performance.
The Questa One Agentic Toolkit introduces domain-scoped agentic AI workflows that transform traditional tool-based interactions into intelligent, multi-step processes. These AI-driven systems are capable of reasoning, planning, and executing verification tasks while operating within governance boundaries defined by the user. Importantly, the framework maintains configurable human oversight at critical decision points, ensuring that engineering expertise remains central to the design process.
By streamlining tasks such as verification planning, design creation, debugging, execution, and closure, the toolkit helps teams achieve trusted RTL sign-off more efficiently while improving overall design productivity.
The solution integrates seamlessly with the Fuse EDA AI system, Siemens’ agentic and generative AI framework for electronic design automation. Within the Fuse environment, the toolkit benefits from enhanced performance, deeper integration, and optimized workflows.
With the introduction of the Questa One Agentic Toolkit, Siemens continues to advance the capabilities of smart verification, helping semiconductor companies manage design complexity while accelerating development cycles for next-generation chips.
